Caenen Hir, Llandynan, a remote farm NW of Llantysilio, overlooking the Dee valley. This was the home of Margaret and Robert Jones and birthplace of Martha Jones.

Llagower and Llyn Tegid

Llyn Tegid or Bala Lake, Merionethshire. Two of my main lines (Jones and Ellis) came from the parishes around the Lake and James Burgess’s first farm in Wales was close by

 

The countryside in the parish of Llangower, Merionethsire on the shores of Bala Lake. Robert Ellis’s family were from here.

Maesafallen Farm, Llanfor, Merionethshire situated in a steep sided valley south of Bala Lake. This was the Burgess family’s first home in Wales. It was the place from where James wrote his letter in 1835.
