Margaret was the second daughter of Robert Wilson (circa 1805 - 1884) and Jean Burgess (1809 - 1893).

Robert Wilson’s parents were probably James Wilson and Jean McTaggart of Auchie in the Parish of Kells, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, Scotland.

Jean Burgess’s parents were James Burgess and Jean Carson who lived in various Glenkens parishes in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, Scotland. This couple moved to North Wales in June 1833. I have a large amount of information in the form of letters, various documents and articles on these ancestors.
